This is a GC American 3/6 amalgam carver. Made in USA. Excellent condition. This is the standard 3/6 size. For you non dentists, this instrument is designed to shape (carve or shave) silver fillings as they are setting. It is used in a pulling motion, with the shaving occurring along the sides and/or at the end. By rotating it slightly, you can reach almost anywhere on a small surface (tooth). One end is round (Discoid) and the other end more pointed (Cleoid) so it can reach into grooves and cracks. I'm going to list quite a variety of these in different sizes and by different manufacturers, so look at my other listings if this is not exactly what you are looking for. GC American makes very good instruments and these retail around $30. Dr. retired. We are parting out the instruments.
